2018年10月19日（金）〜28日（日）の期間、東京都内各所にて開催されるデザインフェスティバル「DESIGNART TOKYO」に参加します。
展示会場となるDESIGNART GALLERYでは13組の様々なジャンルのクリエイターが一堂に集まったグループ展となります。
今回はM + museumをモチーフとした三点（新作二点）の大作を展示予定です。

DESIGNART（デザイナート）とは、デザインとアートを横断する、感動を与えてくれるモノやコトを新たに定義した言葉で、その素晴らしさを発信、共有していくための活動そのものの名前です。“Emotions〜感動の入り口〜”をコンセプトに、世界中の感動をもたらしてくれるデザイン＆アートなモノ・コトを提供していきます。

近年、デザインとアートが密接に絡み合い、横断するモノが世界的なムーブメントとなるなか、世界の良質な伝統産業やものづくりの現場が生き残っていくうえでも、それら固有のアイデンティティをデザインやアート、アイデアで明確にし、世界中の”Emotions”を求めている人へ伝える力が必要だと、私たちは考えています。デザインやアートと同じレベルで使う一般用語として「DESIGNART」という言葉を浸透させること、そして生活をより豊かに彩ることを目指し、私たちはDESIGNARTを日本、そして世界に広めるためのサステイナブルな活動を行っていきます。

DESIGNART is a new word that redefines the things that touch us and bring emotion to our everyday lives through function and beauty. It is also the name of the movement to spread and share this amazing concept. With the concept of “Emotions” we will gather and exhibit emotional design and art contents from all over the world, Through the recent years, the boundaries between design and art have been crossing over, and works surpassing such boundaries have been creating an international movement. However, to save the traditional industries around the world, we have noticed the need to clarify the identity of these movements through design or art, and send out this information to the people who are interested in an “Emotions”. Through our sustainable activities, we aim to enrich the qualities of lives, along with spreading the word DESIGNART, as a term to explain design and art on the same level, not just domestically but also internationally.

6月1日（金）からGallery OUT of PLACE TOKIOにおきまして個展「under construction or destruction」を開催します。

artist statement
今取り組んでいるのは建築中の建物群による都市の様相と、都市のランドマークになりうる建物の建築現場だ。特に昨年取材した香港の建築中の高層ビル群はその構造と色が、街の活気と共に強く印象に残っている。また、2020 年に向けて急ピッチで生まれ変わろうとしている東京にも興味は尽きない。
元々そこにあった何かが壊され、新たに別の何かが作られていく。それを更新し続けていく事で拡がる都市。ビル群の垂直方向の更新が都市を水平方向にも押し広げて行く。
私のカンヴァス上での表現活動が、この変容し続ける世界と人間の営みをも内包する事になればと考えている。　 文：西川茂

What I’m trying to draw now is buildings and the city under construction.Especially, I am really interested in the appearance under construction of the building which can be a landmark of the city.
For instance, the structure and the color of the skyscrapers in the building of Hong Kong that I visited last year, along with the vitality of the city, are very impressive and memorable. I am also attracted to Tokyo, which is reborn on a steep pitch for 2020.
In the city, something that had been there before was destroyed, and something new was made from the next to another. That’s how the city expands vertically and horizontally.
I hope my activity on canvas will involve the changing world and human workings.
